After taking photos one afternoon, I noticed this little group of seemingly unrelated elements sitting by the window where I had cast them aside... Dying roses, a broken quail egg, some berries from down the road. Simple, every day things, elevated by the light. It reminded me of Leonard Cohen's words -
"Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in."
